OASAS and OMH: Mailboxes for Questions Related to Transition to Medicaid Managed Care

NYS OASAS:

Effective 10-1-15 in New York City (NYC), and 7-1-16 in Rest of State (ROS), OASAS services for Medicaid recipients will be transitioned into Medicaid Managed care (MAMC).

To ensure that responses to all questions related to the transition of OASAS services into MAMC are correctly: coordinated; reviewed; and, approved OASAS is requiring that all providers:

  • Utilize this form to organize the inquiry; and
  • Submit  the completed form to the OASAS  PICM mailbox: PICM@oasas.ny.gov.
  • Once received the questions will be directed to the appropriate subject matter expert (SME).
  • This approach will also allow OASAS to build and post a library of related OASAS services MAMC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

NYS OMH:

To help with communication NYS OMH has set up a new mailbox for Managed Care questions.

Effective October 1, 2015 in New York City, and July 1, 2016 in the rest of the State, ambulatory mental health services for adults aged 21 and over that have been carved-out of Medicaid managed care and paid fee-for-service will be transitioned into Medicaid managed care.

To ensure that responses to all questions related to this transition are coordinated, and to help OMH assemble a list frequently asked questions (FAQs), OMH Providers must use this form for submitting questions, issues and/or concerns to OMH-Managed-Care@omh.ny.gov.
